Doctor Who è una serie tv britannica del genere sci-fi nata nel lontano 1963 per poi essere ripresa nel 2005. La caratteristica della serie e degli episodi è la loro capacità di spaziare nei generi: dal racconto fiabesco o horror a quello più fantascientifico e sovrannaturale. The Doctor, o il Dottore, è un Signore del Tempo che attraverso il suo TARDIS può viaggiare oltre lo spazio e il tempo nell’universo, grazie anche al vortice temporale.
Doctor Who ha ricevuto nel 2006 il Bafta come miglior serie drammatica e ha vinto numerose volte il National Television Award (dal 2005 al 2010 e poi nel 2014).
Trama
Doctor Who è la storia di un viaggiatore del tempo e dello spazio proveniente da una razza aliena, che si sposta grazie al TARDIS, un veicolo vivente che esternamente ha le sembianze di una cabina telefonica blu per chiamare la polizia.
Il Dottore, che viaggia sempre accompagnato da una ragazza, si può rigenerare quando subisce un infortunio o viene colpito in maniera fatale, prendendo delle nuove sembianze.
